Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Announcing Princess Ava's 1st Birthday!

Princess Ava arrived in style to her first birthday!  All of the details were fit for a "princess" and as royal as you can get for a fun ranch style birthday.  Karlie and her family paid close attention to the details and truly made her birthday very special.

The birthday was held at the Fausel Ranch and looked absolutely beautiful.  The castle and horse carriage where a huge hit with the kids.  They also provided fairy wings, wands and bow/arrows for each child.  Not only does this family know how to decorate, but they always think about making a magical experience for the children.

As you can see below Kylie thought the food was quite delicious, and it was.  Katie's Country Cafe catered the event and everyone was pleased with the tri-tip, chicken, salad, beans, rolls and pasta.  Queen Karlie and King Danny sure know how to host an event.  Towards the end of the party, Deanna Fausel dressed them in their "royal attire."

Miss Ava was a little timid diving into her cupcake, but once she started she sure loved the frosting.  She is such a sweet, calm and happy baby.  We loved watching her play with all her cousins and friends at her first birthday party.  Once again, we were honored to photograph for the Yarbrough Family and love working with them.

A special thank you to David and Deanna of the Fausel Ranch.  If you are interested in having a Wedding hosted at the beautiful ranch, just call (530) 622-1151.

We Love Surprise Engagements...Congratulations William and Danielle!

Surprise, surprise, we were not expecting to arrive at a 1st birthday party and also have the opportunity to capture an engagement!   Once I began photographing, both grandma's approached me to let me know something "big" was going to happen during "cake time" and to have both camera's ready.
I was so excited for this "surprise" moment.  As "cake time" fast approached, my heart started racing and the sweat started beading down my forehead.  When the crowd was done singing Happy Birthday to Aubree she started clapping with everyone, which was absolutely adorable.
Before Aubree could dig into her cake, William announced that baby Aubree has "one wish!"  William got down on one knee and said, "Aubree's one wish, is that Mommy says "yes" to Daddy!"
Immediately, as I am photographing like crazy, the tears started welling up in my eyes as we all watched Danielle's reaction.  She was in complete shock and everyone could feel her emotions.  It was fascinating to see the love between William and Danielle.

Then, of course because the Fausel's don't do anything small,  William had another surprise for Danielle.  The wedding day has already been set, for the same day as her grandparents wedding anniversary on June 20th, a live band is booked, the talented John Sanders from Old Town Grill will be catering and of course the wedding will be at the gorgeous Fausel Ranch!

In addition to all of these surprises, William coordinated with Danielle's mother Jill to have the ring made with their long time family friends at Poole's Jewelers in Yuba City (www.pooles.com).
Overall, Aubree's Birthday Party was a huge success and all were astonished.

A special thank you to William Fausel, Jill Cenedella, and Deanna Fausel for helping coordinate this spectacular surprise.

                 Cheers,

Ajay Luther's Newborn Session

Once again, it was an amazing experience photographing another Fausel baby.  Ajay was such a joy and very mellow.  His daddy, Albert, kicked off the photo session with us and then mommy, Melissa, joined in.  It is obvious that they are totally in love with Mr. Ajay, and he is at calm with his parents.
Ajay's "big sister," the family dog, clearly does well with him too.  She was a gentle giant, very aware and cautious around the little guy.  Sport and Rosie were a little more on the energetic side, so they popped in and out of the "doggy" photos.
Overall, we have been loving outdoor newborn sessions and totally embraced the Fausel's rustic country style.

Born on July 2nd, Ajay was nearly a 4th of July baby.  He is still quite patriotic!

Maggie, Sport and Ajay relaxing on the lawn.

This is what happens when you're a Fausel baby born right before peach season!

Ajay has maintained family tradition by taking a photo on Grandpa's coyote skin and panned for some gold.  What a handsome little man!

A special thank you to David and Deanna of the Fausel Ranch, and congratulations on becoming grandparents for the 5th time.

The gold pans and american flag items can be found at the Placerville Hardware Store on Main St. Placerville, CA.

Aubree's First Year! All Four Sessions......watch her grow.

Pure joy, can best describe our year of photographing Aubree and her parents.  Lacey and I had the pleasure of photographing her at 3, 6, 9, 12 months and at her 1st birthday party.  We looked forward to each session and knew we would be literally barking like dogs to catch her attention.  You see, Aubree loves doggies, balls and looking for her cousins/grandma/grandpa.  She is quite the character and daddy's girl.
Here are a few collages of Miss Aubree from throughout the past year and her four session baby package!

3 months and no longer a newborn...

6 months and starting to move.....

9 months and jabbering away...

Yeah, Aubree's One!

She loved her Cake Smash!

We hope you enjoyed seeing Aubree's First Year!

A Boudoir Album, as a Gift on Your Wedding Day?

How amazing would it be for your partner to open a beautiful album of you on your wedding day?  Boudoir photos are no longer just for Christmas, an anniversary or birthdays.  Many couples are giving each other a gift, the day of their wedding. This would be a total surprise and unforgettable!

Are you a little hesitant or nervous, to take boudoir photos with a professional photographer?  If so, we totally understand and do our best to make all of our clients feel calm and sexy in front of the camera.  Thus far, every boudoir client has complimented us on how comfortable we made them feel during their session.  We love the human body, it's curves and how unique each client is shaped.
It is our job to listen to our clients, to interpret their vision of how they want to look, and learn what their partner loves about them.  It is not just about the body.  We want to know how they fell in love and what their partner admires about their personality.  Often as photographer's, we want the client to feel at ease, so their personality shines through in the photos.  This is "true" beauty and how their partner fell in love with them in the first place.

These photos are just a few of the gorgeous ladies we have photographed in the past year.  Each photo session was an amazing experience and we always have the upmost respect for all of our clients.  Especially, clients that trust us in the most vulnerable and intimate moments.

*Snowline Fun Fact:  Lacey, one of the Owners and the Artistic Director, painted many nude models while attending UC Davis and majoring in Studio Art.  She is a very talented painter and sculptor; in addition to photography.  You can find a life-size ceramic mermaid and many ceramic sheep in her parents yard.

          Cheers,

Choosing a Quality Wedding Caterer!

Are you having trouble choosing a high quality wedding caterer, that you can trust and be worry free the day of your wedding?  We are going to review some key items to look for, what steps you should take before giving a final deposit and share one of our favorite caterer's in town with you.

What to look for?  Have you actually eaten their food and/or seen them work at an event?  Was it delicious?  Were you pleased with the presentation and their staff?  If so, and their business has sparked your interest, then you should give them a call!

Steps for booking your Caterer?  If you have not tasted their food yet, for some reason, then the first thing you should do is book a tasting.  Your first consultation, is when you can discuss place settings, the menu (appetizers and/or main course), if the caterer provides linens/glassware, and how much set-up/clean-up is included with their services.
Finally, you can discuss pricing which often greatly depends on the types of meat you choose (burger bar, steaks, and/or chicken), whether it is buffet style vs. individual servings, and whether you want table set-up/clean-up included.  Personally, I always recommend that couples pay to have the caterer set-up, clean-up and man the bar.  This way everyone gets to enjoy the entire wedding!

Lastly, we wanted to recommend one of our all time favorite caterers!  Not only can John Sanders and his daughter Genevieve of Old Town Grill, in Placerville, make a mean burger and amazing fries, but they also specialize in event catering!  We have used their services for our own wedding and tasted their food at multiple events. It is guaranteed that they will deliver a consistently excellent product and cater to your needs.
In addition to the food tasting great, their professional staff set-up all of the tables, linens, glassware, bar, and cleaned up at our wedding!  They continue to exceed our expectations when we see them work and greet all guests with a huge smile!
